Rehabilitation of Knee Pathology Across the Lifespan Mark S. DeCarlo, PT, DPT, MHA, SCS, ATC
Course Description: Knee pathology is a common clinical problem encountered in sports medicine and orthopedic settings. Careful clinical examination and differential diagnosis is essential in treating knee disorders. Participants will learn the most recent evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation techniques. Meeting content will include a relevant review of anatomy, biomechanics and clinical examination principles along with operative and non-operative rehabilitation considerations for ligamentous, extensor mechanism and articular cartilage pathology including osteoarthritis and total knee replacement.
We are pleased to announce the first annual peer reviewed Physical Therapy Poster Presentation for the state of West Virginia. WVPTA is excited to provide this opportunity for faculty, students and clinicians and hope that we can broaden our knowledge through continued research and education.
The accepted posters will be on display Saturday morning during the conference 10:00-10:45 a.m. and presenters will be available at their poster for Q&A/discussion.
The West Virginia Physical Therapy Association is holding its 2012 Spring Conference on April 28- 29, 2012 at The Stonewall Resort, Roanoke, WV. The theme this year is “Getting A Knee Up on PT Treatment”. Mark DeCarlo from Methodist Sports Medicine in Indianapolis, IN will be our keynote speaker this year. There will additional topics/tracks for Sunday on pediatrics and radiology for PT and PTA’s.
