July 25-26, 2009 WVU Health Science Center Morgantown, WV August 8-9, 2009 CAMC Memorial Division Charleston, WV This course is designed for PTs and PTAs who serve or plan to serve as clinical instructors for PT students and PTA students. The program addresses issues of planning and preparing for students during their clinical education experiences, developing learning experiences and supporting ongoing learning through questioning and effective feedback. Skills in performance evaluation are discussed as well as the identification and management of students with exceptional situations. The program closes with a brief look at legal implications for clinical educators, including issues presented by ADA legislation. An Assessment Center provides each participant with the opportunity to apply information learned during the program to simulated situations. Successful completion of all stations in the Assessment Center results in the awarding of APTA's CI Credential and 1.5 CEU's. HOLD THE DATE for 2011 Conference
The WVPTA is returning to the beautiful centrally located resort--STONEWALL RESORT---April 16, 17, 2011. The Education Committee is already working on the speakers and topics for next year.
